This piece addresses "awareness and will" concerning the climate crisis and drifting humanity as old conflicts sharpen and collide. Why do we cling to an existence so brief and full of pain? What is the meaning of struggle? “Open your eyes and face the world, for those who sleep are not blind. Break free from your shell and look ahead, young one.
Humans submerged in water risen to their chins.
Humans without an action drift. The performance contrasts and merges the elements of water and fire, delicately balancing between them. Fire, instead of being merely destructive, breaks down old barriers, allowing us to let go and accept inner suffering. Through fire's dual nature, the piece depicts humanity overcoming crises. The fear of overflowing water and the theme of regeneration are intertwined with Korean elements, symbolizing purification through Korea’s subtle essence, tranquility, and focused strength.
