<sleeper> – The World of the Asleep

The performance tells a story about the movements of ideas and life.
Whether the outcome is holy or tragic, we will each find our own answers.
Those who are about to be born must face the world.

Concept
This piece addresses "awareness and will" concerning the climate crisis and drifting humanity as old conflicts sharpen and collide. Why do we cling to an existence so brief and full of pain? What is the meaning of struggle? “Open your eyes and face the world, for those who sleep are not blind. Break free from your shell and look ahead, young one.

Humans submerged in water risen to their chins.
Humans without an action drift. The performance contrasts and merges the elements of water and fire, delicately balancing between them. Fire, instead of being merely destructive, breaks down old barriers, allowing us to let go and accept inner suffering. Through fire's dual nature, the piece depicts humanity overcoming crises. The fear of overflowing water and the theme of regeneration are intertwined with Korean elements, symbolizing purification through Korea’s subtle essence, tranquility, and focused strength.
Performance
Jajak Movement

Jajak Movement, named after "自作" (meaning "self-made"), focuses on creators who forge their own influence, the dedication in handmade craftsmanship, and the playful innocence of children. With these guiding principles—collective intelligence, passion, and order—the group concentrates on movements that reflect Korean characteristics.
